About the Estate

About the Estate

Ten gated lakefront acres, built for all 45 of you

The video game arcade with pinball and classic cabinets

The Great Escape Lakeside was built for one thing: play. Every room hides a game, and the in the hallway is real. Mornings go to the lazy river and the two-story slide, afternoons disappear into the Jumanji theater, the CLUE escape room, and the laser maze, and evenings end at the campfire down at the water. The whole estate is yours alone, one group at a time.

Pool & Outdoors

  • Giant Go Fish pool & lazy river

The Go Fish Pool & Lazy River

A huge 40,000-gallon swimming complex shaped like a giant fish. The eye is the hot tub and spa, the granite-bordered center is a large swimming area with a hiding space behind the eye, the perimeter is a multi-speed lazy river, the top fin is a walking bridge over the river, and the tail is a shallow kiddy pool with its own baby slide. Larger than the pools at many hotels, with a negative-edge spillover, poolside TV, and the outdoor kitchen alongside. Under the Florida sun it stays naturally warm most of the year, and it can be mechanically heated for $95 a day by advance request.

    • 40,000-gallon fish-shaped complex
    • The hot tub is the fish’s eye
    • Multi-speed “endless pool” lazy river
    • Kiddy tail pool with a baby slide
    • Walking-bridge fin over the river
    • Negative-edge spillover & poolside TV
    • Pool heat $95/day by advance request
  • Shoot Your Ladder mega slide

The Shoot Your Ladder Mega Slide

Climb the stairs to a high-speed plunge that is not for the faint-hearted: the giant blue flume rockets you into six feet of water at the deep end of the Go Fish pool. There is also a second kiddy slide for those who are not quite ready for big thrills. One 34-year-old guest reported riding it 147 times in just under a week. Can anyone in your group top that?

    • High-speed two-story flume
    • Lands in 6 ft at the pool’s deep end
    • Second kiddy slide for little ones
    • House record: 147 rides in a week
  • Human Foosball

    Human Foosball

The classic table game blown up to life size: you and your group are the foosmen. Grab a rail, hold your line, and shuffle side to side as the ball flies across the outdoor court. It is one of the estate’s most-played outdoor games, and spectators enjoy it nearly as much as the players.

    • Full life-sized outdoor court
    • You are the foosmen: hold the rail
    • Plays all ages together
    • Ball and gear provided
  • Inflatable disco light race

    The Inflatable Disco Light Race

A giant 700-plus square foot high-tech inflatable night club. Use the digital scoreboard to pick one of three game types, wait for the countdown, and then race to tag as many of your team’s colored lights as you can while music plays and the walls glow in random sequences. Guests ages 2 to 92 love it. During your stay the estate may provide either human bowling or this newer, upgraded light race arena.

    • 700+ square feet of inflatable arena
    • Digital scoreboard, 3 game types
    • Music, countdowns & glowing walls
    • Loved by ages 2 to 92
  • Soccer billiards (Snookball)

    Soccer Billiards (Snookball)

Billiards played with your feet: a giant felt court set up like a pool table, with soccer balls standing in for billiard balls. Line up your shot, kick, and call your pocket. Easy to learn in one round and genuinely competitive by the second.

    • Giant pool-table court
    • Soccer balls as billiard balls
    • Call your pocket, kick your shot
    • Balls provided
  • Pickleball court

    • Full regulation-sized court
    • Paddles & balls provided
    • Unlimited play, day or night of your stay
  • Basketball, volleyball & tetherball

    Basketball, Volleyball & Tetherball

Beyond the pool and the pickleball court, the grounds also hold a basketball court, a volleyball setup, and a tetherball pole, with equipment for all three provided. Between these, human foosball, Snookball, and giant chess, the outdoors alone can fill a full day.

    • Basketball court on-site
    • Volleyball setup
    • Tetherball pole
    • All equipment provided
  • Giant outdoor chess & Connect 4

Giant Outdoor Chess & Connect 4

Two of the estate’s larger-than-life lawn games: a giant outdoor chess set with pieces big enough to carry with two hands, and a giant Connect 4 frame that turns the family classic into a spectator sport. Both sit out on the lawn, ready whenever your group is.

    • Giant chess with two-hand pieces
    • Giant Connect 4 frame
    • Out on the lawn all stay long
  • Campfires & picnics

    Campfires & Picnics

Evenings at the estate end at the water: a campfire spot at the lake’s edge for s’mores and stories, picnic spots across the ten acres, and Central Florida sunsets over the lake that regularly stop dinner conversation mid-sentence.

    • Lakeside campfire spot
    • Picnics across ten private acres
    • Sunsets over the water
    • Star-gazing far from city lights

Water & Lakefront

  • Private dock on the lake

The Private Dock on Lake Walsh

The estate sits on the shore of Lake Walsh, a nice-sized natural Central Florida lake with plenty of bass and catfish. The homes around it are spread so far apart you would almost never see anyone else from the Great Escape’s peaceful spot on its shore. The entire lake is quiet and serene, and it is large enough that rowing around it is a real outing.

    • Natural freshwater lake
    • Plenty of bass & catfish
    • Private dock on the shore
    • Quiet: neighbors far out of sight
  • Fishing, kayaking, canoeing

    Fishing, Kayaking & Canoeing

The estate provides kayaks, canoes, and a pedal boat, all at no additional charge, along with oars, life vests, and a few fishing poles. The freshwater lake is extremely peaceful: guests often spot sandhill cranes and other gorgeous birds. Fish as much as you like, or just sit back, watch, and listen to nature while finally feeling away from it all.

    • Kayaks, canoes & a pedal boat, free
    • Oars & life vests provided
    • Fishing poles included
    • Sandhill cranes & Florida birdlife
  • Ten gated lakefront acres

    Ten Gated Lakefront Acres

The Great Escape sits on ten very private acres along the shoreline, behind its own gate. The grounds hold the courts, the lawn games, the campfire, the hammocks, and the dock, with room left over for a wedding tent, and the nearest neighbors are far enough away that the estate feels like its own world.

    • 10 private acres on the lake
    • Gated entry, on-site parking
    • Room for events & tents
    • Neighbors far out of sight
  • Hammocks at the shoreline

    Hammocks at the Shoreline

Strung near the water’s edge, the hammocks are where the estate’s pace finally drops to zero. Claim one with a book, or just swing and watch the lake go by.

    • Hammocks at the water’s edge
    • Shade & lake views
    • The slowest spot on ten acres

Kitchen & Dining

  • Games Around The World kitchen & dining

The Games Around The World Kitchen

Stocked with every appliance you will need, service for more people than you will invite, and enough cookware and bakeware to create meals your group talks about for years. Beneath the dining-table glass and in the wall’s shadow boxes are beautiful depictions of classic international games: excellent food for conversation. Formal seating for 16, folding tables and chairs for 20 more, and an adjacent formal room seating another 6 mean you can comfortably serve at least 42 around the kitchen and dining area, and since it spills out to the outdoor kitchen, a meal for 80-plus is genuinely possible. This room does not have a Monopoly theme, it IS the board: the beds are the Chance and Community Chest cards, the tables are the dice, and the ceiling fan spins blades of Monopoly money. The walk-in closet really is the Jail, so lock somebody up, take the photo, and let them out. Eventually. A luxury-edition Monopoly set, a classic Wii, and streaming movies round it out.

Lights on, it is a luxurious king bedroom. Lights off, it transforms into the world’s first residential laser maze: crawl under and climb over beams racing the clock, with over $25,000 of tech installed by Funovation, the company that invented laser mazes. The lowest score to date is 5.9 seconds. At Orlando attractions this costs $5 a play; here it is unlimited.

So fun!! We stayed here with a group of 22 (three generations) and all had a blast! So many fun on-site games and activities. I think the in-house theater and the arcade games were the biggest hits.

Fascinating. It's like being in a movie. Each room is decorated with a different theme. It has play areas for both children and adults. The pool is very inviting, and you can go boating on the lake. We had a great time on this vacation. Their communication, attentiveness, and problem solving was outstanding from the day we booked until the vacation was completed. I HIGHLY recommend this vacation home rental. My only critique would be, the pedal boat, kayaks, and canoe's were kept in poor condition.

Celebrated my friend's 25th wedding anniversary w/friends. Had a Wonderful time. All rooms, except the dungeon room had their own bathrooms. We all had our own rooms. I stayed in the Operations room. Beds were comfortable. The house was well stocked w/everything that we needed (washer/dryers, kitchen supplies, bedding, bathroom supplies, & of course plenty of games).

Never have I ever been to a more perfect family vacation spot!! This house is incredible!! The property is so secluded and peaceful and the rooms are like something from a dream. Everyone in our group (from month old babies to old grandparents) had an absolute blast. And to top it off, the owner stopped by with a beautiful cake to thank my father for his military service. So thoughtful. The management staff was so friendly too. Everything was above and beyond expectation. Highly recommended

I must say this home was everything I expected and more!!! The host was very polite and professional. My 45th birthday could not have been any more memorable. My family and friends enjoyed every room, games and pool. We even had the luau package as well. The only issue was with the surround sound. I had to keep my phone close to the theater room in order for it to stay connected. I definitely want will be reserving the other homes of this owner. We went here to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary with family and friends from ages 6-80, and we had a fabulous time! There was so much to do inside and outside! The rooms are amazing with games of all kinds, and everyone enjoyed the gigantic Word Find on the wall! The staff was absolutely amazing--thank you Alyssa--and made us feel at home. You can call on them at any time and they really wanted you to enjoy your stay. I highly recommend a family vacation here! The grandkids definitely enjoyed the pool and slide! It is isolated but at the same time close to stores and restaurants. Can't wait until our next visit! Definitely more than a 5 Star rating!!

The Details

Good to Know before you book

Questions organizers ask first

How do 45 people actually sleep here?

The thirteen bedrooms sleep 34 in king, queen, twin and bunk beds. The twins in the War Games and Monopoly bedrooms combine into kings, and the additional sleeping area adds eight twins and a futon. See the floor plan.

We are an all-adult group. Is this place for us?

Yes. It is a high-end thirteen-bedroom lakefront home with superior finishes and comfortable bedding, and the game-show studio, escape room and laser maze are some of the best team-building an adult group will find anywhere.

Is the kitchen fully equipped?

Fully stocked, with all the appliances you would expect in an upscale home plus a few extras, a coffee maker and a Keurig, and silverware and service for dozens.

Do you have high chairs and cribs?

Yes. Two high chair attachments and three pack-n-play cribs are on site.

Are towels provided?

In abundance. Every bathroom comes with a complete set, and pool towels are provided as well.

What time are check-in and check-out?

Check-in is 4pm and check-out is 10am. With same-day guest transitions, the housekeeping, pool and maintenance crews need every minute of those six hours.

Is there an extra charge to play the games?

No. Every game and attraction shown on this page is included with your stay.

What is the cancellation policy?

You can cancel up to 120 days before check-in. The only penalty is a $285 cancellation fee, plus any credit card fees if a card was used for the deposit.

What exactly are we booking?

The entire estate as one reservation: thirteen bedrooms sleeping 45 overnight, with room for your event on the lawn. You never share the property with another group.

Is there a minimum stay?

Three nights, with two exceptions: one and two night gaps between existing reservations can be booked as they are, and any two open nights inside 30 days of arrival.

What does it cost, and what fees apply?

From $1,095 a night before tax, varying by season. Events carry a fee of $995 to $5,000 depending on scope, waived for stays of seven nights or more. Taxes and additional fees apply. A deposit holds your dates and the balance is due before arrival. Booking direct skips the platform service fees, which is where the roughly 17% saving comes from.

What kind of service do we get?

A dedicated agent from first contact, an in-person tour of the estate when you arrive, and fast assistance all day and most of the evening. Questions before you commit? Call or text 352-717-7872.
