Orlando Vacation Rentals: 6 Activities Our Guests Enjoy

When you think about Orlando, family fun and theme parks probably spring to mind. While we have wonderful Disney theme parks, Universal Studios, Legoland and more, there are plenty of other exciting activities that guests to our luxurious Orlando vacation rentals might enjoy. Orlando offers something for everyone, including the following.

1. Enjoy The Attractions Of Clermont

Our Orlando vacation rentals are located west of Orlando near the charming town of Clermont. During your stay with us you, can visit local attractions such as Lake Louisa State Park or beautiful Lake Minneola.

The Clermont Historic Village Museum includes a one-room schoolhouse, a restored train depot, two historic 19th-century homes and an original World War II Quonset hut which has been transformed into a World War II museum.

You also can celebrate Florida’s top crop at the Showcase of Citrus. This farm includes u-pick oranges, a country store, wine tastings, catch & release fishing, a monster truck adventure and children are welcome to visit and feed some of the animals on this working farm.

2. Blast Off At NASA

The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is only about 75 miles from our three luxury Orlando vacation rentals and a visit to the space center makes a fantastic day trip. The facility boasts a myriad of exhibits and activities, including a “Race to the Moon” exhibit, a Space Shuttle exhibit, a bus tour that will take you to historic launch sites and much more. You can even take a look at the launch calendar and schedule your visit during a rocket launch.

3. Get Close To Gators

The official Florida state reptile is the American alligator, which is North America’s largest reptile. It is estimated that there are more than one million alligators living in our state, and you can learn about these creatures and get up close and personal with them at Gatorland. In addition to the alligators and crocodiles, there is an aviary, a petting zoo and a variety of interesting shows. There’s also a popular zipline and a train that goes around the park.

4. Visit A Museum

There are several excellent art museums as well as some museums that allow visitors to soak up a bit of local history. The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art, for instance, is notable for its huge collection of Louis Comfort Tiffany art as well as an impressive collection of pottery. If you’re a fan of the beat generation, consider a trip to the Jack Kerouac House. Additionally, one can check out the mysterious artifacts at the Ripley’s Believe It or Not museum, and there’s even a small museum celebrating the history of Tupperware.

5. Explore The Wetlands

Lakes and swamps abound in the Orlando area, and you can enjoy many unique adventures and learn a bit about our local geography. There are companies that offer airboat tours and kayaking treks, and several companies that offer bass fishing adventures. Of course, if you book your stay at our Great Escape mansion, you can enjoy fishing, canoeing and kayaking on your own private lake.

6. Consider A Beach Day

Did you know that Tampa is only about 90 minutes from all of our three luxury mansions? If you are spending several days or more at our Orlando vacation rentals, heading to the beach can be a perfect day trip. Tampa has several excellent beaches, but if you are in the market for some emerald waters and white sand, consider making your trip a bit longer and head out to Clearwater Beach. You also could head east to points such as Daytona Beach, which also is about 90 minutes away.

Of course, you also could simply spend your time enjoying our Orlando vacation rentals, which offer resort-quality amenities in the privacy of your own luxurious mansion. You can spend your days simply lounging by your private pool or grab some of your fellow guests and enjoy mini golf, a volleyball or basketball game or perhaps a giant outdoor human foosball court. If you wish to head indoors, you’ll find amenities such as billiard tables, video arcades, movie theaters, giant chess boards, a laser maze, karaoke and much more.

Our three unique properties provide accommodations for 45 to 52 guests, and each spacious home includes gourmet kitchens, large dining areas and plenty of space to hang out and relax. Our homes are perfect for reunions, wedding parties, families traveling together and corporate retreats.
